The Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center is the gateway to the Albany Pine Bush Preserve, providing visitors with interactive exhibits and activities. The public is invited to explore the Preserve’s geologic and cultural significance, examine the plants and animals that live in this landscape, study Preserve management principles, and consider human impacts on this sensitive landscape.

The Discovery Center is a valuable tool for local schools and offers classroom spaces, curriculum based programming, a teacher resource center, and a gift shop with educational materials. Through hands-on experiences, staff and volunteers help visitors learn about the unique characteristics of the Pine Bush and nurture a sense of stewardship for the Preserve.
