Event Description:

Would you like to join our citizen science team in documenting frogs and toads in the preserve? Do you need a refresher on your frog calls? For over 15 years, citizen scientists have been reporting data on calling frogs and toads to FrogWatch, a citizen science program of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Join us this evening for an information and training session and learn how you can participate in this amazing program by listening to the frogs and toads calling in your own backyard. Ages 15+. Free!

Pre-registration is required for all events.

Please plan to arrive at least 5-10 minutes before the start of the program. Registration can also be made in advance of the program at the Discovery Center reception desk.

Groups with 8 or more people, please call us for special accommodations.

Note: Programs begin promptly at times listed. Please notify us if you need to cancel your registration so we can open your spot up to the waiting list.

While leashed pets are permitted on marked trails, we ask that visitors not bring pets to our educational programs.

CANCELLATION POLICY: No refunds. It is, however, permissible to send or designate another person to use your program registration.

DIRECTIONS TO APB DISCOVERY CENTER: From I-87 take exit 2W (Rt 5 West, Central Avenue). Follow Rt 5 for about 2 miles then turn left onto Rt 155 (New Karner Rd). Continue on Rt 155 for about 1.2 miles. The Discovery Center is located on the left at 195 New Karner Road. (518)456-0655
