Madison Avenue Pinelands Trailhead (#7)
Suitable for all ages
An extraordinary journey into the Albany Pine Bush—a globally rare, nationally significant and locally distinct inland pine barrens. We will hike over rolling sand dunes, discuss Pine Bush natural history, and observe seasonal surprises and transformations. This program will meet at the Madison Avenue Pinelands trailhead (#7), where we will hike approximately one mile.
Reservations are required for all public programs.
Fee: Free! Reservations required for all attendees (regardless of age). Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Make reservations by calling 518-456-0655 or visit www.AlbanyPineBush.org/events
Please plan to arrive at least 5-10 minutes before the start of the program to check in.

Note: Programs begin promptly at times listed. If you make a reservation for a program and then decide you will not be able to attend please call us or cancel your reservation online to open up those spaces to others.
While leashed pets are permitted on marked trails, we ask that visitors not bring pets to our educational programs.
CANCELLATION POLICY: No refunds for programs with fees. It is, however, permissible to send or designate another person to use your program reservation.
DIRECTIONS TO MADISON AVENUE PINELANDS TRAILHEAD (#7) FROM THE ALBANY PINE BUSH DISCOVERY CENTER: Turn left at the traffic light at the end of the driveway onto Route 155. Proceed for 0.5 miles to the next traffic light. Turn right at the traffic light onto Madison Avenue Ext. Proceed 0.2 miles to a stop sign. Go straight for another 0.25 miles until the road dead ends at the trailhead.
