Suitable for adults

Start your day outdoors and join us for a hike along the trails of the Kings Highway Barrens trailhead (#9). We plan to hike approximately one mile. This program will meet at the Kings Highway Barrens trailhead (#9).

Reservations are required for all public programs.

Please plan to arrive at least 5-10 minutes before the start of the program to check in.

Note: Programs begin promptly at times listed. If you make a reservation for a program and then decide you will not be able to attend please call us or cancel your reservation online to open up those spaces to others.

While leashed pets are permitted on marked trails, we ask that visitors not bring pets to our educational programs.

CANCELLATION POLICY: No refunds for programs with fees. It is, however, permissible to send or designate another person to use your program reservation.

DIRECTIONS FROM THE DISCOVERY CENTER TO KINGS HIGHWAY BARRENS TRAILHEAD (#9)

Go straight at the traffic light at the end of the driveway onto Old State Road. Follow Old State Rd. 0.6 miles to a three way stop sign. At the stop sign, turn right onto Kings Road. Continue straight on Kings Road for 1.3 miles. The trailhead will be on your right hand side of the road. Look for the sandy pull off area, split rail fencing, and kiosk.
