Spring is here and that means many birds are coming back from their winter in the tropics. We will meet at the Woodlawn Preserve trailhead on Gifford Road in Schenectady and walk approximately one and a half miles around the pond searching for spring migrants . Along the way, we will discuss some of the science research we conduct to help us monitor our feathered friends and how you can help! Binoculars will be provided.
Reservations are required for all public programs.

Please plan to arrive at least 5-10 minutes before the start of the program to check in.

Note: Programs begin promptly at times listed. If you make a reservation for a program and then decide you will not be able to attend please call us or cancel your reservation online to open up those spaces to others.
While leashed pets are permitted on marked trails, we ask that visitors not bring pets to our educational programs.
CANCELLATION POLICY: No refunds for programs with fees. It is, however, permissible to send or designate another person to use your program reservation.
DIRECTIONS TO THE WOODLAWN PRESERVE FROM THE APB DISCOVERY CENTER: Go straight through the traffic light in front of the Discovery Center onto Old State Road. At the stop sign turn right onto Kings Road. Drive on Kings Road for 4.3 miles. Turn right onto McDonald Avenue and then right onto Gifford Road.
