Invasive species pose a big challenge to protecting our native biodiversity and places like the Albany Pine Bush Preserve, so having good data on these organisms is essential for smart management decisions. In New York, iMapInvasives provides an online mapping tool for sharing invasive species data, and citizen scientists can make valuable contributions that help conservation professionals. Jennifer Dean, Invasive Species Biologist with the NY Natural Heritage Program, will lead tonight’s lecture about some invasive species in our area to watch for, and how you can help!
