Karner blue butterflies headed to New Hampshire

After sampling birds this morning Steve Campbell and Neil Gifford helped collect 14 endangered Karner blue butterflies to augment the gentics in the Concord, NH population.

No life stage of the endangered Karner blue butterfly can survive fire, yet it only lives in habitats that burn frequently.

Citizen Science
